Warum gibt es eine citrat freie Taltz® (Ixekizumab) Formulierung?
Berichte nach der Zulassung und Kundenfeedback zeigten, dass Schmerzen an der Injektionsstelle für einige Patienten ein Problem sind. Es wurde eine alternative Formulierung entwickelt, um diese Schmerzen zu reduzieren.

Begründung für die citratfreie Formulierung von Ixekizumab
Ixekizumab hat ein etabliertes Wirksamkeits- und Sicherheitsprofil, das in klinischen Studien bei Patienten mit
- Psoriasis (einschließlich pädiatrischer Psoriasis),
- Psoriasis Arthritis und
- axialer Spondyloarthritis, einschließlich
- ankylosierender Spondylitis/röntgenologischer axialer Spondyloarthritis und
- nicht-röntgenologischer axialer Spondyloarthritis
mit 22.697,2 Patientenjahren (PY, patient years) der Ixekizumab-Exposition nachgewiesen wurde (Stand März 2021).1-8
Reaktionen an der Injektionsstelle (ISR) zählten zu den am häufigsten während der Therapie aufgetretenen unerwünschten Ereignissen, die unter Ixekizumab in klinischen Studien berichtet wurden. Die Inzidenzrate von ISR lag im ersten Jahr der Anwendung von Ixekizumab zwischen 15 und 22 pro 100 PY.9
Zu den bei der Behandlung mit Ixekizumab am häufigsten berichteten ISR zählten
- Schmerzen an der Injektionsstelle und
- Erytheme an der Injektionsstelle.9
Auch Berichte nach der Zulassung und Kundenfeedback haben gezeigt, dass Schmerzen an der Injektionsstelle für einige Patienten ein Problem darstellen.
Darüber hinaus wurden in vorläufigen Studien mit gesunden Probanden Citrat (Puffer in der Matrix) und Natriumchlorid (Tonizitätsmittel) als die Hauptursachen für Schmerzen an der Injektionsstelle identifiziert.10
Daher haben wir eine alternative Formulierung entwickelt, mit der Schmerzen an der Injektionsstelle reduziert und die Erfahrung des Patienten verbessert werden sollen.8,10
